WASHINGTON: United States Department of Defense released a statement that US Navy would be funding nine AH1Z Viper attack helicopters for Pakistan.
US based Bell Helicopter company signed a deal to manufacture and deliver helicopter to Pakistan by 2018. Bell AH-1Z consisted of two engines based on previous shape Cobra and updated by US Marines.
Bell Helicopter can hit the target from 426 mills and 610 Km away. US Department of Defense has approved Pakistan foreign military sales of armed equipment, parts and logistic support of worth 905 million dollars.
Last year Foreign Military also approved a sale of F-16 Combat Jet to Pakistan worth of 73 Billion and 275 million.
A report issued by Stock Home International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) revealed that Pakistan has dropped to number 10 in importing armed equipment, parts and logistic support in 2015 while Saudi Arabia become top and India stood at position second respectively in the importing of armed equipment, parts and other logistic support.
Report has said that Pakistan imported armed equipment and parts having worth of 735 million dollars while India has imported more than Pakistan having worth of 3 thousand 78 million dollars.
Additionally, as per statement Pakistan has imported a large amount armed equipment from china has a worth of 565 million dollars.
