DELHI: National Investigation Agency (NIA) Officer Tanzeel Ahmed was murdered during the early hours of the morning on Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was the chief investigation officer of the Pathankot incident and it is said that he had found some important evidence.
Deputy Superintendent (NIA) Tanveel Ahmed was travelling to Biltoor from his house with his wife and children. He was shot 21 times before his wife and children and his wife was severely injured in the attack. He was taken to Muradabad hospital near by however he died on the spot.

Some sources believe that Tanzeel Ahmed was about to reveal important evidence regarding the Pathankot Airbase incident and Indian government feared ridicule in this regard.
This is the second time an Indian investigative officer about to disclose important investigative evidence has been shot dead and it is pertinent to mention that S.P Gouvaardas is said to be involved in the murder.
Pakistani Joint Investigation Team just returned from India and disclosed that India has no valid proof, at least none that they shared with Pakistani JIT.
