PM House wants PCB chief sacked: Reports

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) head Shahryar Khan has reportedly received a message from Prime Minister House to step down as PCB chief.

According to local media reports, a close friend of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,  and senior diplomat from PM house has asked Shahryar Khan to leave his post.

“Things are not going your way, it is better for you to step down,” message.

“Every decision of PM is acceptable for me,” Shahryar replied.

It is worth mentioning here that chief of PCB’s governing body, Najam Sethi has gone to meet PM twice in two days but has failed to have meeting.

It is also expected that he too might be removed from his post.

Senior cricketers and Sports Analysts have also criticised Najam Sethi’s involvement in team’s matters and he is widely blamed for waging politics in Pakistan cricket.
