CHENNAI: England Women Cricket Team beat Pakistan by 68 runs to qualify for ICC Women’s WT20 2016 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.
England women skipper won the toss and elected to bat first on a batting friendly track.
Their openers made full use of nice and flat wicket and kept scoring runs.
With CM Edwerds (73*) and Beaumont (37), England Women posted 148/5 in their first innings.
Pakistan in reply, had a disastrous star and lost their first five wickets wickets under seven overs.
Girls in Green could not recover from the dents they had had in first six overs and were bundled out for 80 in 18th over.
Only Nahida Khan (15), Sana Mir (16) and Asmaviya Iqbal (15) were the three Pakistani batter who came into double figures.
