BDS cleared Islamabad airport for flight operation after ‘Bomb Hoax’

ISLAMABAD: Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) cleared the Benazir International Airport as no bomb found in any of the planes parking at the airport, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

A person namely Mike telephoned at around 8:00am today and told the airport officials that there are bombs placed in two of the planes on the airport apron and runway.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and a heavy contingent of security personnel arrived at the scene and conducted a search operation. Five flights were delayed during the clearance process.

Later, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) reported that the airfield of BBIA was cleared and opened for operations. Five aircrafts were also queued for departure.
