MUMBAI: South African batsmen managed to put mammoth total on scoreboard against Afghanistan in Super-10 (Group-1) match at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, and TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Skipper South African team F du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first on beautiful batting pitch. South African team scored 209 runs in limited 20-over game.
Left-handed opener of South African team de Kock played another brilliant innings and score 45 runs, while Amla failed to play long inning as he lost his wicket after scoring five runs.
du Pessis and AB de Villiers’s inning totaly change the game as both put Afghani bowlers on back foot. Skipper scored 45 and AB played inning of 64 runs with the help of 5 sixes.
Mohammad Nabi and Zadran took two wickets each and Hamza manged to grab only wicket against South African team.
