DELHI: Pakistan woman cricket team beat India by just two runs under Duck-Worth Luis method at Mohali Cricket stadium, Delhi.
Pakistan skipper Sana Mir won the toss and opted to bat first against India, and the bowlers proved the decision right with their performance.
India, at the end of power-play, scored just 7 runs after losing two quick wickets.
Girls in Green shirt bowled superbly well and restricted India to 96/7 i first 20 overs.
V Krishnamurthy from India was the top scorer with 24 runs off 19 balls.
Pakistan, in reply took a confident start, they were 48 for 1 in 9th over at one stage, requiring 49 more runs in more than 10 overs.
But, they lost the momentum there and two back to back wicket brought India back in the game.
Some bad shot selection and then two nasty run outs had put India well on top of the game as Pakistan were 77/6, requiring 24 runs out of 20 balls, when the rain poured down and washed out India’s dreams to pull out a thriller!
