KOLKATA: Pakistan left arm quick Mohammad Amir who got a bat as a gift from top Indian batsman Virat Kohli, has revealed the story behind this incident.
Amir revealed that he had asked Kohli’s bat during Asia Cup 2016, but Kohli promised me to give it during their India tour.
“I had asked him fora bat during Asia Cup and he had promised to give me one in India. I am glade that he remembered that. He has fantastic bats, and I’m confident I’ll contribute with the bat too in time to come for Pakistan,” said Amir.
Earlier, Virat Kohli had a little chit chat with Pakistan skipper Mohammad Amir on Friday during training session and also gifted his bat to Mohammad Amir.
Pakistan and India are all set to meet tomorrow in their Group-2, Super-10 round clash of ICC WT20 2016 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
