Pervez Musharraf about to leave Pakistan for medical treatment

KARACHI: Former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf all set to leave  Pakistan for London on Thursday just after as Supreme Court of Pakistan allowed him to travel abroad, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) maintained the order of Sindh High Court regarding the removal of Musharraf’s name from Exit Control List (ECL).

According to sources, his ticket was booked in EK 611 he will spend at least 40 days out of Pakistan.

Lawyer of former military chief, Farogh Naseem paid thanks Supreme Court for allowing former president to travel abroad. Musharraf visited London for medical treatment.

During the course of proceedings, Dr Farogh Nasim, counsel for the former president, submitted a fresh medical report of Pervez Musharraf. He said that his client was suffering from a disease whose treatment was not possible in Pakistan.

He said that the Sindh High Court allowed the former president to travel abroad but the Interior Ministry challenged the decision in the apex court, which annulled the verdict.
