Instagram aims for big league: from chronological order to best post first feed

LONDON: Instagram is taking a shot at the big league trends with its latest update that would run Instagram user feed on the Facebook like principle i.e most liked comes on top.

Instagram feed until now displayed posts in chronological order with the latest post first and served as a visual diary for millions of users, largely for women.

Instagram looks at it in a different light than a good chunk of user, “the moments we believe you care about the most”, that would lead to “likelihood you’ll be interested in the content, your relationship with the person posting and the timeliness of the post”.

Users however are taking a big lash at Instagram in its venture to follow suit with Twitter to be more like Facebook and lessen the coziness that attracted most of its users.

And this is not the only user lashing out at Instagram. Take a look at what others have to say.

Looks like #RIPInstagram isn’t going to rest that easy on the internet. Well, Instagram is in for a ‘treat’.
