5 US Conspiracy that turned out to be true

5 – Project MK Ultra

The 1953 project Project Ultra was a secret Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) mind control that that secretly administered LSD to the public manipulating their mental states. It was initiated under the “intelligence research” mask to create a super human biological weapon.

Hypnotism and Electro-Shock Therapy was also used in the hopes to create split personalities to use against the Russians in the Cold War. The project was busted by investigative journalist Symour Hersh uncovering CIA surveillance in 1975 causing a public outrage in America. This lead to a government investigation further revealing thousands of file with truly disturbing human experiments.

4 – CIA drug trafficiking

In 1996 investigative journalist Gary Webb exposed another illegal CIA activity when he reported that CIA facilitated cocaine sale to the LA street gangs in 1996. Cocaine was sold to the African-Americans to fund a CIA lead war in Nicaragua.

Webb was discredited with a hammer by the CIA influenced leading to his suicice. Nine years later one of the leading newspaper who discredited Webb and his work, L-A times admitted that Webb’s reports were based on facts.

3 – Military Intelligence Operation Northwoods

US Military intelligence planned terrorist attacks on its own country in 1962. The idea was to provide a rational justification against Cuba in the post attack scenario and bring down communist leader Fidel Castro.

Hijacking of planes and bombing US cities was a part of the plan however the un-executed operation Northwood back fired decades later. It was turned down by the Kennedy administration but rose to surface in the 90s causing a public outrage in America.

This operation also gave way to the rationale of 9/11 bombings were an inside job conspiracy theories.

2- FBI operation CointelPro

Peace activist on the suspicions of covert Federal Intelligence Bureau operations against anti-war movements on March 8th 1971 successfully stealing hundreds of files revealing the covert operations.

Files revealed that the Counter Intelligence Program was commissioned to destroy Communism and New Left by any means necessary. Under this programs FBI intimidated, blackmailed and even assassinated potential threats to disrupt political order.

Attempts on Martin Luther Kind Jr. forcing to lead him to commit a suicide was also conduct under this program.

1. CIA Operation Mockingbird

Perhaps the most successful CIA operation on American soil was Operation Mockingbird. It was a 1950 operation to recruit journalists in top newspapers and publications including New York Times, CBS and Newsweek. CIA successfully administered government agenda through positive messages and anti communism propaganda.

By 1953 CIA was largely in control of the leading media entities in America. United States government officially owned the CIA operation accepting that CIA tried to control public opinion using covert propaganda in 1976.
