MANSOORA: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Fazal ur Rehman said that Women Rights Bill was surprise for Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, TheNewsTriube.com reported.
While addressing the meeting of religious parties at Mansoora, JUI-F head revealed the inside story of his meeting with Nawaz Sharif.
Fazal ur Rehman claimed that “Nawaz Sharif told me that he was unaware of Women Rights Bill passed by Punjab Assembly.”
Nawaz Sharif was not happy with Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif over Women Rights Bill. He told that Nawaz Sharif vowed to amend the bill as per teaching of Islam.
Fazal ur Rehman revealed that CM Punjab asked him to meet but he refused so then PM Nawaz made contact with him to discuss the matter.
On the other hand, Ameer of Jamaat-e-lslami (JI) Siraj ul Haq claimed that Women Rights Bill will destroy family system in Pakistan.
While addressing a meeting of heads of religious parties at Mansoora, he said that Islam is against the violence but this bill will increase the ratio of divorces in country.
Council of Islamic Ideology also declared Women Rights Bill against teaching and laws of Islam. He asked Punjab Assembly to take this bill back.
