KOLKATA: Pakistan cricket team managed to score 157bruns in warm up match of International Cricket Council (ICC) Twenty20 Cricket World Cup 2016, against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens cricket stadium, Kolkata, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Skipper of Pakistan cricket team won the toss and elected to bat first against Lankan Tigers to test the power of batting line up.
Opening pair of Pakistan team, Sharjeel Khan and Ahmed Shehzad failed to build long partnership but gave flying to team.
Sharjeel Khan scored 23 and Ahmed Shehzad put 18 runs on scoreboard. Sarfraz Ahmed was shifted to one down position but he left the crease after scoring 13 runs including a six.
In the first 15 overs of the game, Pakistan team crossed triple figure with the loss of three wickets and set a strong base to set a mammoth total for Sri Lanka.
Shahid Afridi failed to perform with bat again as he lost his wicket on very first ball of the match. Mohammad Hafeez played brilliant inning from Pakistan side and remain top scorer.
Hafeez scored 70 runs in just 49 balls hit 9 fours and one monster six.
