Private schools remain closed in Punjab

LAHORE: Majority of schools in Punjab remain closed on the appeal of All Pakistan Private Federation on Wednesday, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Government of Punjab failed to resolve the issue. Private schools’s owner still want 10 percent annual raise in fee and refused to accept the bill passed in Punjab Assembly regarding raise in fee.

According to bill passed by Punjab Assembly, private schools allowed to increase five percent fee annually.

Earlier, provincial education minister Rana Mashood said issue will be resolve soon after meeting with All Private Schools Federation.

He also claimed that demand of 10 percent annually raise in fee is not acceptable but he vowed to resolve the issue soon.
