KARACHI: Former legendary cricketer and king of swing, Wasim Akram has given four teams to be favourite for World Twenty20 and Pakistan is not one of them.
While talking to media in Karachi, Wasim Akram said India, South Africa, New Zealand and Australi are most favourite to win this WT20 2016 trophy.
He said if batting lineup clicked in mega event, Pakistan can be most dangerous side in the tournament.
Wasim went on to say that if he had Pakistan selectors’ job in PCB, he must have considered Saeed Ajmal for WT20.
He was of the opinion that Ahmed Shehzad is a talented batsman, but he has discipline problem which needs to be handled properly. Wasim picked Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhter as an example to reflect Shehzad’s case and said. “Shoaib had discipline issues too, but his case was handled with care by PCB and he became star.”
Akram thrashed Pakistan’s domestic structure and the management calling it ‘poor management,’ and said that “Pakistan’s domestic cricket in-charge never held bat in his life.”
