DHAKA: The final match of first T20 Asia Cup 2016, will be delayed as heavy rain hit Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Dhaka on Sunday, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to details, dust storm and rain hit Dhaka that will damage the final of ongoing tournament’s final. Pitch is still covered and Power has been cut. There is total blackout at the stadium.
Cricket pundits claimed that condition of ground is not suitable to play the match and there is no reserve day for the final match.
In case of cancellation, Bangladesh and India will be the combine champions of first ever T20 Asia Cup 2016.
India remained unbeaten in the tournament so far, proving their deservedness for the spot in final, there Bangla tigers too have proved their worth in the arena, beating two former World T20 and Asia Cup winners in their run.
Bangladesh, who stunned India in bi-lateral series last year at home, will look to come up with a similar result, this time in the shortest format.
Men in Blue on the other hand, would be looking to win their third consecutive T20I series under MS Dhoni.
