The land which is known for its vastness contains the hearts which are even more boundless than the territory. Today is the culture day of Baluchistan, so here we are to give you an insight into Baluch culture and its origin.
Baluch’s culture is majorly connected to Iranian language and its language is a branch of Northwestern Iranian languages.
This culture is the most sophisticated culture of Pakistan as it has been saved from invasions all thanks to the mountainous terrain and thus it has been saved from adulteration. So, this makes Baloch a distinct culture identity.
Baluchs have a different dress code. The Baluch men wear long shirts with long sleeves and loose pants. The dress is occasionally accompanied by a pagh (turban) or a hat on their heads.
Whereas the women put on loose dresses and pants with sophisticated and colorful needlework. The upper part of the dress and sleeves are also decorated with needlework. Often the dress also contains round or square pieces of glass to further enhance the presentation. They cover their hair with a scarf, called a sarig in the local dialect
Baluch festivity is not complete without the tempting sajji and kaak roti.
An important Baluch custom is known as Haal, which means the exchange of information and current news. According to the usage, a traveler is duty-bound to provide news to those whom he may chance to meet on his way. The recipient or the host in his turn reports the news to the first person or traveler he meets. This way all sorts of news are circulated in the Baluch society.
The Baluch pay homage to Nimrod in Babylon, Abu Saeed Baluch of Jiruft, Mir Jalal Khan, Mir Chakar Khan Rind, Mir Sohrab Khan Dodai, Mir Abdullah Kahar, Mir Nasir Khan the Great, Mir Mehrab Khan II, Mir Dost Muhammad Khan Baranzai, Mir Hammal Jiand, and Mir Yusuf Ali Khan Aziz Magassi, the majority of whom are either unknown to Pakistanis and Persians or are detested by them.
