Asia Cup T20: India restrict Sri Lanka to 138/9

DHAKA: India have restricted Sri Lanka to 138/9 in seventh encounter of Asia Cup Twenty20 at Sher e Bangla Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.

Indian skipper MS Dhoni chose to bowl first after winning th toss, and the decision proved too good for his side as Indian pacers kept Lankan to order at bay and did not let them to free arms.

Middle order batsman Kapugedera (30) and Sriwardaan (22) were the top scorer from Lankan side.

Ashish Nehra took 1 for 23 while Pandiya and Bhumra bagged 2 each for 26 and 27 runs respectively.

India will require 139 runs to register their third consecutive win in the tournament.
