-She may be widely known as Sri Lankan but Jacqueline comes from a mixed ethnicity — her father is Sri Lankan while her mother is of Malaysian and Canadian ancestry.

-The youngest of four children, Jacqueline was born and raised in Bahrain. Before she embarked on a showbiz career, Jacqueline returned to Sri Lanka to live with her parents after graduating in Mass Communication from Australia.

-She took up a TV reporting job and the occasional modelling assignments too that followed after she was crowned Miss Sri Lanka Universe in 2006. She appeared in her first music video in 2007 for popular Sri Lankan pop/rap duo Bathiya and Santhush.

-Although she made her acting debut with Aladin and followed it up with Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, her first hit came with Vishesh Films’ Murder 2 in 2011. That said, Jacqueline’s biggest film hits so far have been multistarrers like Race 2 and the Housefull films.

-The actress is the brand ambassador for products like Nestle and Maggi in Sri Lanka and was chosen as the face of India Bridal Fashion Week in 2013. She also endorses top brands like HTC, Titan, Pepsi and Gillette. Her first commercial was for Sony Ericsson and also featured Hrithik Roshan.

-The actress was said to be in a steady relationship with Housefull director Sajid Khan but they broke up last year. She was also rumoured to be dating Shahid Kapoor after the two were spotted having dinner recently. When asked in a recent interview about her relationship status, she categorically said that she is currently single.
