Karachi Kings to defend 153 runs to qualify for play-offs

DUBAI: Karachi Kings have set 153 target for Peshawar Zalmi in a must-win game for them at Dubai International Stadium, UAE.

After winning the toss on a batting pitch, Malik decided to bat first.

Openers Lendl Simmons and Shahzaib Hassan gave Kings a solid start, Shahzaib left the crease on 18 but Simmons carried on his good form and scored quick 49 runs of 33 balls.

But things got a little tough for Karachi batsmen after Simmons and Shoaib Malik (18) left the field.

Ravi Bopara (23) and Shakib (11) were the other batters without a big impact on the Kings’ innings.

a few wild swings from Bilawal Bhatti’ and Sohail Khan earned valuable runs for karachi Kings in the last part of the innings which took their score to 152/7 in 20 overs.
