Opposition disrupts Sindh Assembly proceedings

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly session on Tuesday witnessed sudden disturbance when the Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durani approved the water bill submitted by the leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Murad Shah .

Both the leaders of the house and the opposition watched the agitation from their seats. Members of opposition parties, except the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, converged in front of the Speaker’s rostrum, saying they would not return to their desks until their resolution was taken up out of turn.

Sindh Assembly ruled out the water bill submitted by MPA belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Khurram Sher Zaman.
