Pervaiz Rashid demands judicial commission over Kotli incident

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information, Pervaiz Rashid has demanded judicial commission over Kotli incident, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Pervaiz Rashid said that government of Azad Kashmir should resign over taking illegal action against the workers of Pakistan Muslim Leagu-Nawaz.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers on Monday protested on Shaheed Chowk in Kotli in connection with the ‘Black Day’ being observed by the party.

The demonstration was also attended by Azad Kashmir PM Chaudhry Abdul Majeed during which slogans were raised against federal government and ministers.

The attendees of the protest will reach Abshar Chowk in form of a rally where a procession will be held.

Shops in Kotli and Nakyal have been opened whereas business activities have also been resumed.

On the other hand, police has also arrested the main suspect of the incident Sardar Aqeel Khan who is Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Youth Wing President.

Earlier on Sunday, PML-N demanded resignation of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister (PM) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, holding him responsible for worker’s death in Kotli, reported Dunya News.

Holding a press conference today, PM Nawaz Sharif’s Special Advisor Asif Kirmani said that Azad Kashmir PM has failed to protect the lives and properties of the people. “Instead of getting the incident investigated, Azad Kashmir wants to shift the blame on to PML-N”, said Kiramni. He added that Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has committed a grave crime.
