SHARJAH: Peshawar Zalmi’s man of the moment in the match against Karachi Kings, Darren Sammy has just revealed that he urged skipper Shahid Afridi to let him bowl the last over.
While talking to interviewer after the match, Darren Sammy said that Afridi was quite confused for who to give the ball to bowl last over, in which Karachi Kings required 13 runs with in form batsman Ravi Bopara on the crease.
Sammy, who had gone for 8 runs just two balls of that last over against Kings, came back very strongly and changed the game in his team’s favour by taking Bopara’s wicket on next ball and then defending remaining 5 runs on last three balls.
Courtesy his brilliance, Zalmi won the match by three runs.
