Kajol was Karan Johar’s first choice for the role of ‘Naina’ in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. However due to her busy schedule Kajol could not take up the role. She was already shooting for the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Fanaa’ then.
Dil to Pagal Hai
The role which made Karishma Kapoor win the National Award was first offered to Raveena Tandon. After Raveena rejected the offer, the role went on to a number of actresses but each of them declined. Kajol too was offered this role but she refused to play a supporting role in the movie.
Chalte Chalte
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first choice for this Shah Rukh Khan starrer. But due to the growing problems between Salman and Aishwarya, Shah Rukh allegedly decided to dropp Aishwarya. After Aishwarya, Kajol was the next choice for the role. But due to her busy schedule Kajol had to decline the role.
