PM Nawaz leaves for two day official visit to Qatar

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday left for Qatar on a two-day official trip, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

A top level delegation including Air Chief Sohail Aman, Federal Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Tariq Fatimi are also accompanying Nawaz Sharif on this visit.

A number of Memoranduma of Understanding (MoUs) in the field of health, radio and television, education and research and a long-term Sale/Purchase Agreement (SPA) of Liquified Natural Gas would be concluded by the both sides, a Foreign Office statement said issued here on Tuesday.

The main focus of the Prime Minister’s visit and interaction with the Qatari leadership will be on enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields including energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and increase in employment opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Qatar.

Both leaders would also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Earlier talking to newsmen in Islamabad, Qazi Khalilullah, Spokesman Foreign Ministry, said that Nawaz Sharif will hold meetings with Amir Qatar, Cbinet members and other high dignitaries.

The prime minister is visiting Qatar on special invitation of Amir Qatar, according to spokesman.
