Pakistan signs LNG deal with Qatar

Gas (LNG) from Qatar as per Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between two countries, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Under the LNG deal, Pakistan will import 3.75 million tons of LNG annually from Qatar which will fulfil 20 percent need of Pakistan, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from ARYNews.

The agreements were signed by the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the Chairman of Qatar Gas in Doha.

The signing ceremony was also witnessed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

The agreements and MoUs were signed to increase cooperation in diverse fields including Radio and Television, education, health and academic research between the two countries.
