PUNE: Sri Lanka beat India by 5 wickets in first Twnety20 (T20) international played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Sri lanka after winning the toss, sent India to bat on a green-top wicket, the decision proved to be excellent for Lankan tigers as their seemers completely destroyed Indian batting lineup.
Half of the Indian team was send back on total of 51.
Lankans did not look back from there and wrapped up whole Indian batting lineup for just 101.
Tail-end batsman Ashish Nehra was top score from India with 31 runs while MD Shanaka was pick of the Sri Lankan bowler with 3 for 16.
Sri Lanka in reply were little shaky but completed the run chase in 18th over with 5 wickets in hand.
Dinesh Chandimal was the top run getter from Sri lanka, he scored 35 runs on 35 balls. Ashwin bowled a superb spell of 2 for 13 in 3 overs.
