U19WC: Pakistan vs West Indies: Windies need 228 runs to win, updates

FATULLAH: Courtesy to 164 runs partnership between Umair Masood and Salman Fayyaz Pakistan has put 227 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets in last Quarter final of ICC Under 19 World CupĀ at Fatullah, Bangladesh.

Umair Masood played brilliant for his 113 runs while Salman Fayyaz who made unbeaten 58 was the real supporting hand to Umair for putting such total on the board after being destroyed by the Windies in the earlier phase of the innings.

Pakistan after winning the toss chose to bat first but as soon as Pakistani batters stepped into ground, Windies bowlers never let them settled down and Pakistan lost fiveĀ wickets in quick succession.

Pakistan at oneĀ moment were 57-5Ā in 22Ā overs.

Pakistani batsmen Zeeshan, Umar and Shadab, Hasan Mohsin and Saif Badar wentĀ back to hut after scoring 3, 8, 1, 19 and 10Ā runs respectively.

West Indian bowlers Holder took 2Ā whileĀ Jospesh, Springer and Paul grabbedĀ 1 wicket each.
