SYDNEY: Australian team set huge total for Indian to chase in the third and last T20 match of the three-match series at Sydney Cricket Ground on 31 January, Sunday.
Australian skipper Shane Watson won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the third and the last T20 match of the series.
Shane Watson showed brilliant batting skills and scored brilliant hundred. Star all-rounder helped his team to set huge total for visitors. Indian bowlers failed to stop his bat from scoring quick runs.
Kangaroos put 197 runs on the scoreboard courtesy Watson’s inning of 124 runs. Indian spin bowlers Ashwin, Jadega and Yuvraj took one wicket each.
India has already won the three-match T20I series after winning the first two matches against Australia. They are on the course of a whitewash and this will come as a timely boost, following their 4-1 series defeat in the One Day Internationals.
The hosts are already without the services of David Warner and Steven Smith, as the two are rested for the New Zealand tour. Now Aaron Finch has picked up an injury and is doubtful for the upcoming tour, leaving the captaincy wide open for the final T2OI fixture.
Indian premier batsman Virat Kohli has bagged two man of the match awards for his performance with the bat in the last two matches. M.S. Dhoni will be hoping the right-handed batsman could continue his fine form in the last fixture in order to help India seal a 3-0 in the T20 series.
