Firing kills SHO in Lahore

LAHORE: A station house officer (SHO) on Saturday was gunned down in Defence, site in Lahore, Pakistan. 

Police officials told media that, SHO Tajammul Hussain Butt, who was stationed at Shadbagh Police Station, was attacked in Defence Phase 7 by unknown dacoits.

The SHO was rushed a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to sources, the SHO put up a resistance after which robbers opened fire and sped away.

Heavy contingent of police reached the scene, cordoned off the whole area and launched a search operation
