NORTHAMPTON, ENGLAND- The ‘finger licking good’ restaurant has made the world again go ‘eeuu’.
According to international media, Cassandra Perkins, 22, bought a Zinger Tower meal at the KFC outlet in Wellingborough, England.
She was left horrified when she found raw giblets in her £6 meal.
Initially she thought the food was alright.
However, when she held the piece of chicken in her hand, she saw flecks of purple and pulled it apart. When she observed it better, she realized that the uncooked giblets and entrails had been left inside the chicken.
She also took pictures of the chicken pieces she was served.
Initially she had believed that it was the brain or the lungs. But it wasn’t. She had been served raw giblets of chicken.
This incident took place in the KFC outlet at Wellingborough, Northan. When she complained about this to the staff, the simply offered to swap her meal for another, and tried to pretend that it wasn’t really a big deal.
The staff later apologized about the incident.
A spokesperson for the restaurant said, “Sometimes mistakes can happen and unfortunately on rare occasions, giblets are not removed when they should have been. We have reminded our team members to take extra care in future, and if a customer is ever unhappy with their food we encourage them to let our team know, who will always be happy to help.”
Similar incidents have happened with KFC in the past.
