Pakistan vs New Zealand 1st ODI: Kiwis batting first

WELLINGTON: Pakistan has won the toss and elected to field first in first of three match series against New Zealand at Westpac Stadium, Wellington on Monday.

Backbone of Pakistani middle order batting Shoaib Malik is not playing in the match as he was unable to get fit from his foot injury and Ahmed Shehzad is replacing him in the side.

Azhar Ali said that tehy will jump into ground with proper game plan and will try trheir best tpo stick on that plan to win the all important contest.

Pakistan lost T20 series with margin of 2-1 but both contests which Green Shirts lost were with heavy margins which somehow has let Pakistan down but win in the first match will bring them back to winning track for which Pakistani skipper Azhar Ali is very hopeful.

Pakistan XI: Azhar Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Rizwan, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir, Sarfraz Ahmed, Anwar Ali, Imad Wasim, Babar Azam and Mohammad Irfan.
