SYDNEY: Australia while batting first gave India 331 runs to chase in the fifth and last match of 5 match series at Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday.
It is face saving match for India as Australia already has sealed the series with 4 consecutive victories against the victories and today they will be looking for a white wash.
India after winning the toss on good looking track put in form Aussies to bat first, their decision was proved right as Kangaroos lost their 4 key wickets under 100 but Warner’s fluent 100 and Mitchell Marsh’s late charge managed to put a mamoth total of 330 for the loss of 7 wickets on the board.
Warner scored 122 and Mitchell Marsh scored unbeaten 102 runs.
India will have to fight hard for run chase but Indian batting line is capable of doing so in the presence of batting like Kohli, Dhawan, Rohit and Dhoni.
Everything has gone to plan for Australia so far in the series. They have grabbed four victories in a row against the home giants while also rotating their squad, not only allowing key players to recuperate but also providing opportunities to fringe players.
