ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar on Thursday has taken notice of slain Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq’s murder suspect Khalid Shamim s talk with the media. The accused made several revelations pertaining to the case during the talk.
The police guard in charge of presenting the suspect to the court has been suspended for failing to prevent this slip up.
The Federal Interior Minister stated that the case should be left to the courts. Nisar stated that the truth and justice regarding the case should be upheld no matter what anyone says.
Nisar further stated that the suspect’s such kind of talk with the media will leave a negative impact on the case.
On the other hand, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar during a discussion in Dunya News program ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’, stated the party still grieves the loss of Dr. Imran Farooq. Sattar reiterated that the suspects of the case were not linked to MQM.
Sattar stated that such cases had been leveled against poltical leaders in the past but could not be proved.
