Bacha Khan Uni attack: KP By-polls postponed

PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday has postponed the local bodies by-polls in Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to security threats that has been created after the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda yesterday, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

The polls were schedule on January 23 and have been postponed to January 28.

The statement said that ECP wants to ensure extraordinary security measurements for holding by-polls in KP, specially in the newly prevailing situation after Bacha Khan University attack.

Security of whole Pakistan has been put to red alert after militants attack at Bacha Khan university Charsadda on Wednesday which claimed 22 lives.
