TEHRAN: Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday has met Iranian Defence Minsiter in Tehran, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Raheel Sharif and Iranian Defence Minsiter stressed the need for more strengthening ties, also Saudi-Iran recent tension came under discussion and COAS stressed for the peaceful resolution of the issue.
It is to be kept in mind that Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Raheel Sharif is visit of Saudi Arabia and Iran to resolve the tension that has created after the execution of Saudi scholar Nimr in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier yesterday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Saudi King Salman have stressed the need for more strengthening bilateral ties.
This was stated in a joint declaration after a meeting between both leaders on Monday.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his concern over Saudi-Iran tension.
The prime minister said that both countries should resolve their differences in a peaceful way and in interest of the Muslim Ummah.
