NEW YORK: A new study by Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, revealed that U.S. President Barack Obama is the most popular world leader on Facebook with 46million likes on his Barack Obama campaign page.
According to report, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is second popular leader on Facebook with 31 million fans on his personal page.
Based on data collected in January 2016, the World Leaders on Facebook study – the first installment of the 2016 edition of Burson-Marsteller’s annual Twiplomacy study – found that 169 of the 193 UN member states maintain an official Facebook page.
Pakistani famous leaders are far behind in the race as official page of chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan gets five million likes and page Lion of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif manage to get only 1 lac likes.
