ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has on Saturday written letters to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank of Pakistan for the bank account and tax details of Kamran Kiyani and Hammad Arshad.
According to details, NAB has written to State Bank in the DHA Lahore scandal for the details of details of the transactions from the bank accounts of Kamran Kiyani and Hammad Arshad. NAB also demanded from FBR the details of tax returns filed by the two suspects.
Hammad Arshad is under arrest for 17 billion rupees DHA land scandal while the other suspect, Kamran Kiyani, is out of the country.
NAB has been tightening the noose around Kamran Kiyani’s collar as it has decided to contact Interpol for bringing Kamran Kiyani back from Dubai. According to NAB sources, the investigation team will get the approval from NAB Chairman for contacting Interpol.
The insiders told Dunya News that the suspect Hammad Arshad had named Kamran Kiyani upon the offer of becoming an approver. Corruption worth Rs. 17 billion has been detected in the purchase and development of the DHA Lahore land. NAB has been investigating the case from the contractor of the project, Hammad Arshad, and Kamran Kiyani.
