Election tribunal orders re-election in PP-78, deseats PML-N lawmaker

JHANG: Punjab election tribunal’s commission on Thursday announced its verdict in against the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Rashida Yaqoob Shiekh and announced re-election in PP-78 Jhang, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Judge of Election Tribunal Mohammad Rasheed Qamar ordered Rashida Yaqoob to submit salaries to account of Punjab Assembly.

Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi and other independent candidates had filed application against PML-N lawmaker. According to details, Rashida Yaaqoob put fake statements in nomination papers regarding property details.

Rashida Yaqoob’s husband claimed that Election Tribunal’s judge announced the decision within two hearing and hinted to challenge the decision.
