MITHI: A two year old child on Thursady has died in Civil Hospital Mithi, Capital of Tharparkar, after an outbreak of water borne and Food shortage diseases which has claimed the lives of at least 32 children in the last 11 days,TheNewstribe.com reported.
Another child’s death in Mithi’s civil hospital rising the death toll of children to 49 in one month, Also, some children have been transferred to Hyderabad in very critical condition.
Innocent children of Thar paying the price of the negligence of government authorities with their lives in the desert region of Sindh. Malnutrition, lack of healthcare facilities and scarcity of water are some factors pushing the children towards death.
Earlier a week ago, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto has constituted a committee comprises of information adviser Moula Bux Chandio and food minister Nasir Shah to look into the situation in Thar but nothing has changed in that area rather death toll has been rising severely day by day.
