PESHAWAR: The ICC World Twenty20 Trophy was unveiled at a ceremony in Army Public School Peshawar on Monday.
Pakistan Twenty20 captain Azhar Ali attended the ceremony.
Richard Dimond, an ICC representative, PCB Officials, students of Army Public School and teaching staff of APS were also present on the occasion.
The trophy’s next stop will be Gymkhana Cricket Ground Lahore on January 12, 2016. It will then move to Kinnaird College and then to Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Talking to media, Azhar Ali hoped that Pakistan would win the trophy and if the players succeeded in winning it, they would dedicate the Twenty20 trophy to the martyrs of APS.
“We are here to express solidarity with families of the APS martyrs and the sacrifices rendered by the schoolchildren would be remembered forever,” Azhar Ali concluded.
