PESHAWAR: At least 20 suspected militants, belonging to the proscribed Islamic State (IS), were killed on Saturday in a US drone strike in Acheen area of Nangarhar province in Afghanistan, bordering Pakistan’s Khyber Agency,TheNewsTribe.com reported.
The drone targeted several hide outs of the militants and killed 20 while injuring many, according to security officials.
Earlier a month ago, US drone strikes in Nazyan district of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province killed at least three suspected militants, belonging to the self-styled Islamic State militant group.
