After Aleem Khan, two independent candidates stand against Ayaz’s victory

ISLAMABAD: Two independent contestants have also been challenged the win of speaker of National Assembly from the constituency of Lahore, NA 122.

Khurram Qureshi and Manzoor Laeequr Rehman had approached the tribunal judge Mr Rasheed Qamar, challenging the result of by-poll held on October 11.

In their plea both complainants said that October 11 by -poll was not fair and an engineered result was announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

On the occasion the tribunal dismissed applications of two other candidates named Jamshed Iqbal Hameed and Mian Yameen Tipu due to non-prosecution of their pleas.

The tribunal will hold next hearing on January 11.
