NEW DELHI: Firing still continued on third day between militants and Indian Army after at least 6 militants attacked the Indian Air Base in Pathankot, site in Punjab.
According to latest information, cross firing started once again on the third day. 7 more Indian Army personnel have been killed including colonel as few militants are still hiding inside the premises of Air Base and the total counting of killed Army personnel has reached up to 11, where dead bodies of 4 attackers recovered from the Base.
Indian army personnel failed to clear the air base as they still failed to find two more militants. One Lt.Colonel is also among the killed Army men in the incident.
Officials confirmed the killings on Sunday as troops worked to clear the compound after a 15-hour gun-battle on an Indian air force base.
Earlier on Saturday morning, at least 6,7 terrorists on Saturday morning have launched a terror attack on the Indian Air Force base in PathanKot.
4 Indian Air Force personnel had lost their lives in the attack, 6 were injured while 4 terrorists had been killed in retaliation till yesterday but today death toll has mounted to 11 and the fight is still continued in Base.
According to Indian media, 5,6 the terrorists entered the Base in military get up and media has quoted that the vehicle which has been used in the attack was hijacked from Suprintendent Police (SP) in Gurdaspur area, yesterday.
