KARACHI: Pakistan’s biggest and finest cricketing tournament Quaid-e-Azam trophy’s day/night final will be played between Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and United Bank Limited (UBL) from today at National Cricket stadium Karachi, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
The match will be played under floodlights with pink ball and it will start at 02:00pm PST.
Misbah ul haq will lead SNGPL side where Younis Khan will be the captain of UBL, Misbah has expressed few concerns over pink ball and Day/night Test but Younis Khan seemed ok with everything about the final.
Both sides are star loaded and cricket lovers will get nail biting and exciting cricket to watch. SNGPL beat Lahore Lions in knockout match while UBL beat Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) by six wickets.
Players of both teams practiced in floodlights yesterday and talked to media about the day/night test matches.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan is among the first countries who experimented the day/ night test match using pink and orange ball.
First international floodlights test matches were hosted by Cricket Australia (CA) against New Zealand which ended in three days last year in November.
Earlier, CA also sent a letter to PCB proposing to play one of the three match series under lights during upcoming Pakistan tour to Australia at the end of 2016.
