PPP demands Imran Khan’s arrest

imran khan
LAHORE: The opposition party PPP announced on Saturday that it would stage a protest on January 4 to demand the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

In an announcement made on Saturday, PPP said that a protest would be held outside Governor House of Punjab on January 4.

Imran Khan himself confessed that a Taliban commander received treatment at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Lahore, it noted.

Earlier, Maula Bux Chandio, adviser to Sindh Chief Minister, too called for indiscriminate action against facilitators of terrorists.

In a TV interview earlier this week, Khan disclosed that a commander of Afghan Taliban got treatment from his charity and that he came to know about it after receiving a thanksgiving letter from the militant group.

On the other hand, Jahangir Khan Tarin, a senior leader of the PTI, defended the treatment of Taliban commander, saying that Shaukat Khanum Hospital doesn’t inquire about the religion of a patient for treatment.

“Shaukat Khanum is an institution which serves humanity, without any prejudice or segregation based on religion or race,” Imran Khan told reporters outside the Parliament House yesterday.
