Swabi students build car that runs 70 km per liter

The fuel-saving single-seat vehicle works on battery and petrol.

The dolphin shaped vehicle has been prepared by the students with the help of their teachers and other senior members of the institute, Dunya News reported

The vehicle will be presented in Shell Eco-Marathon in March, 2016 in Manila, the capital of Philippines.

Shell Eco-marathon challenges student teams from around the world to design, build, test and drive ultra-energy-efficient vehicles. Around nine teams participate in the competition every year.

With three annual events in Asia, Americas and Europe, student teams take to the track to see who goes further on the least amount of fuel.

A student said that Rs300,000 were spent to manufacture this car.
