ISLAMABAD: Left-arm pacer Rahat Ali likely to join opening edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) on demand of Pakistan team’s head coach Waqar Younis.
Rahat Ali who served Pakistan team in Cricket World Cup 2015 and also considered as permanent player of Test squad, failed to make his spot in Pakistan’s first sizzling T20 league.
Waqar Younis expressed his concerns and anger over PSL and its Franchises, said that it is very sad that none of the franchises has selected fast bowler Rahat Ali, who is a regular member of Pakistan Cricket team since year and half.
Head coach said that he is hopeful that Rahat Ali will be part of PSL although selection of players was completed.
He went on to say that I have spoken to the administration of all five PSL teams in this regard as Rahat is the player having a central contracts with PCB but not picked for first edition of T20 league.
Head coach regretted that Rahat Ali was not selected by any of the five franchises of PSL. The situation has seriously hurt the pacer and he is seemingly depressed following the PSL players-draw, he added.
