Five public holidays falling on Sundays in 2016

KARACHI: As the New Year is on its way with bundle of new hopes and goals for the world, we Pakistanis hope that this year brings prosperity and peace to our country.

The year 2016 will begin with Friday, which is considered as auspicious day in Islam, the year will end on Saturday.

Though there may be lot of positivity in this year, but there are some bad news for government employees and especially for students.

The Bad News is that at least five public holidays in 2016 including Labour Day, Independence Day, Eid-ul Adha, Eid Milad un Nabi (S.A.W) and Christmas will fall on Sundays, which means, we will simply be deprived of obvious 5 holidays this year.

The nation will observes 52, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday, whereas Fridays and Saturdays will occur 53 times in 2016.
