ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan objected the appointment of former President Asif Ali Zardari’s  as Pakistan People s Party Parliamentarians’ President.

Election Commission has objected to Asif Ali  Zardari’s appointment as President of Pakistan People s Party Parliamentarians.

According to Political Parties Order (PPO) 2002, dual appointments in multiple parties are a violation of regulations.

President Zardari would have to step down as co-chairman of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) in order to take Presidency of Pakistan People s Party Parliamentarians.
